Store Feasibility Study
The question: A non-profit curious to engage with the community to understand the need for a store that would connect community to local farmers.
The solution: The client wanted to understand the voice of the community and the tensions that created barriers to a successful new space. We worked together to design in-person focus groups and surveys to answer the client’s questions.

Homeowner Energy Use
The question: A large company eager to find out how homeowners think about improving their energy efficiency in their homes in order to make connections to contractor sales strategies.
The solution: Following a detailed recruitment strategy, one-on-one phone interviews with homeowners and contractors were utilized to have in-depth conversations and yield insight on desired topics.

Evaluation of Invasive Species Management Programs in Public Parks
The question: Park management agency interested in understanding the ways in which park-goers think about and engage with invasive species in order to create a volunteer-based management strategy.
The solution: This long-term study included working together with park management to survey existing biological data, and combine survey and interview methods in order to understand the ways in which people understood and engaged with invasive species management and the efficacy of existing programs.

Campus Mobility Study
The question: A large university wanted to find out how student use alternative transportation on campus in order to improve safety and usability.
The solution: Assembled a team to used mixed ethnographic methods to understand current behavior and created a campus bike infrastructure map for by combining GPS tools and collected ethnographic data.
